Aesthetic Comfort is a rare boxed set of two SIGNED AND NUMBERED artist books by Ryan McGinness, published in 2008 by Arkitip. This set was published in conjunction with McGinness' first solo museum show of the same name at the Cincinnati Art Museum, also in 2008.
We, yes us, produced the museum exhibition. The exhibition was entirely in blacklight with the fluorescent paintings glowing in the dark. Beautiful show.
The artist book features details of the artist's paintings, converted to coarse halftones and printed in four fluorescent inks. The books are contained in a custom box made by Incase. We only have a few of these and they are in mint condition which is unheard of - most of these out there are pretty beat up.
